Calendar API (v1)

A free, read-only JSON API with no key and no sign-up. Every response is a static file, so it is fast and can be called from any website (CORS is open). Files are rebuilt every day at 00:05 Nepal time.

weekday: 0 = Sunday … 6 = Saturday. Dates and sunrise/sunset times are in Nepal time (UTC+5:45).
holiday: Saturday or a national public holiday. Each event’s holiday is national, women, regional, community or null.
events[].verified: true when the date comes from the Government of Nepal holiday list for that year.
provisional: true for BS 2084 to 2090, whose month lengths are not yet officially published.
Tithi and Nepal Sambat are calculated astronomically for Kathmandu. On some days a tithi that changes within about two hours of sunrise can differ by one day from the official Nepali Panchanga.

Terms for the API and widget

Free during the beta, for personal and commercial use.
Show a visible link to trisambat.com wherever you display the data (the widget code includes one).
Cache responses and avoid unnecessary repeated requests. We may limit traffic that harms the service.
Version v1 may gain fields but will not lose them without notice. There is no uptime guarantee during the beta.
The data is provided as is and is not an official government calendar. The site’s terms of use also apply.
